After EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced a plan that would threaten critical tax credits for wind farmers, Governor Reynolds refused to take a stand and protect Iowa’s wind energy jobs.

Watch HERE.

Wind energy employs about 9,000 Iowans and makes up about 36.6 percent of our energy supply.

This is not the first time Governor Reynolds declined to take Trump Administration attacks on Iowa’s wind economy seriously. Back in June, she dismissed the threats that have now materialized.

“Wind energy is absolutely critical to Iowa’s future. Unfortunately, Governor Reynolds isn’t ready to defend that future,”said Iowa Democratic Party Spokesperson Tess Seger. “Her failure to take this threat to Iowan jobs seriously raises serious questions about her judgement and ability to lead. Iowans just can’t trust Kim Reynolds to take a stand on the issues that matter most.”
