DES MOINES — Today, Donald Trump and Washington Republicans filed briefs at the Supreme Court to repeal the Affordable Care Act and end pre-existing condition health protections for more than 130 million Americans, including 1.3 million Iowans.
Throughout her campaign, Ashley Hinson has proudly touted her support for Trump’s extreme agenda. But she’s been noticeably silent on the lawsuit that would take health care away from more than 20 million Americans and raise costs for working Iowans.
“Voters deserve to know: does Ashley Hinson stand with Washington Republicans, or with the 1.3 million Iowans with pre-existing conditions who are at risk of losing health care because of their heartless lawsuit,” said IDP communications director Mandy McClure. “Even a global pandemic can’t stop the GOP’s crusade to dismantle the national health care system and leave millions of Americans without accessible health care. Rep. Finkenauer is a proven leader for the first district and voters don’t have to guess what she will do to make health care more accessible and affordable for their families.”
