Announcement: Outstanding Democratic Party Volunteer and Rising Star Award Winners

The Iowa Democratic Party officially announced the Outstanding Democratic Party Volunteer and the Regional Rising Star Awardees this past weekend at IDP’s Council Bluffs Regional Event. Lisa Lima, of Pottawattamie County, was awarded the IDP Rising Star in the Region award, and Candella Foley-Finchem, of Mills County, received the Outstanding Democratic Party Volunteer award.

“It was great to have a chance to speak with more than sixty people at the Iowa Democratic Party’s regional event in Council Bluffs. It’s clear that there are a lot of folks in southwest Iowa who are enthusiastic about building a strong Democratic Party, which is what we need as we head into the 2024 elections,” said IDP Chair Rita Hart. “I am so proud of our award recipients, Candella Foley-Finchem and Lisa Lima. These two women have proven they are passionate and dedicated leaders within their communities.”
