In light of recent developments in Donald Trump’s plan to ban transgender members of the military, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:
“This is yet another disgusting attempt from the White House to divide the American people. Trump’s Transgender Military Ban comes from a place of fear and hate. There is absolutely no way to justify this unprovoked attack on the rights of brave Americans who just want to serve their nation. Democrats have fought to ensure equality for generations, whether that is economic equality, gender equality, or civil rights. Transgender Americans – and all Americans – deserve nothing less than to be treated equal. An attack on one of us is an attack on us all.”
