Today, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price issued the following statement in response to Governor Kim Reynolds’ decision to withdraw Iowa’s stopgap insurance plan.
“Governor Reynolds pulled the plug on Iowans’ healthcare today, choosing to put political attacks ahead of solutions for the people of our state. Thanks to Reynolds’ decision, premiums for 72,000 Iowans are set to shoot up by more than 57%. These families need real solutions, not stale partisan attacks — yet that’s all Reynolds has to offer. Voters will remember Reynolds’ true priorities and hold her accountable at the ballot box next year.”
