In the First of Three Debates, Fred Hubbell Highlighted a Clear Vision of the Future for Iowa, Reynolds Continued Negative Campaign
Wednesday night, Fred Hubbell and Kim Reynolds faced off at DMACC in the first of three debates. While Reynolds largely stuck to the negative attacks that have driven her campaign, Hubbell offered clear solutions to the problems Reynolds and her administration have caused.

“Tonight there was a stark difference between the candidates on stage,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price. “We saw Reynolds stick to the tired attacks that have largely been debunked, while Fred gave us solutions that will drive this state into the future. We’re so proud of Fred, and we hope this debate makes the choice easier for Iowans. Fred Hubbell is the candidate that has your back.”

In the debate, Hubbell highlighted the budget crisis caused by Reynolds and her mismanagement of taxpayer money. He also talked about the importance of fully funding our public education system and ending the privatized Medicaid disaster that has continued to hurt Iowans under Reynolds.

It was clear that there was one candidate who was on the side of hardworking Iowans on that debate stage tonight. That candidate was Fred Hubbell.
