Today, following last week’s bombshell report from the Associated Press that she had, yet again, taken flights on a private jet owned by an entity with business in front of the state, Governor Reynolds will face the music at a hearing held by the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board.

The hearing, which will determine whether or not Reynolds violated ethics laws, will be held at 12:00 PM at the Ola Babcock Miller Building (Room 300, 1112 E. Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA).

Reynold’s is facing multiple ethics issues, and this isn’t the first time Governor Reynolds’ integrity and intentions have been called into question by the people of Iowa.

PATTERN OF ETHICALLY CHALLENGED BEHAVIOR

Despite Iowa laws barring public officials from accepting gifts, this isn’t the first time Reynolds has taken an expensive trip on special interest dime. In 2017, the AP reported Reynolds toured the state following her inauguration in a private jet owned by casino magnate Gary Kirke who was lobbying for state approval for a project at the time.

Just this week, we found out that Reynolds has engaged in suspicious, pay-for-play activities with the insurance companies managing her privatized Medicaid disaster. Just two days after Reynolds received a $1,500 donation from Amerigroup, she gave the MCOs managing Iowa’s Medicaid patients a $100 million raise.
