IDP Issues Statement on Miller-Meeks Nearly Losing her Primary
DES MOINES — The Iowa Democratic Party issued the following statement regarding Mariannette Miller-Meeks nearly losing her primary:
“It took almost a million dollars in special interest outside spending to drag Mariannette Miller-Meeks over the finish line against a little-known opponent,” said Iowa Democratic Party Spokesperson Paige Godden. “Christina Bohannan is running a strong, organized campaign focused on the issues that matter to Iowans – good jobs, lower health care costs, reproductive freedom, and common sense. Iowa Democrats are excited to send an Iowan who stands up for their values in November.”
