ICYMI: Iowa Democrats Raise Over $2,800 for the Food Bank of Iowa

Des Moines – During the 2025 Liberty and Justice Celebration on Sunday, the Iowa Democratic Party raised $2,856 for the Food Bank of Iowa.

The money raised is part of a larger effort by the Iowa Democratic Party to support the Food Bank of Iowa and help out those who may be facing disruptions to their SNAP benefits.

The IDP will host an additional food drive to support the Food Bank of Iowa from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 15 at the Plumbers and Steamfitters 33 at 2501 Bell Ave. in Des Moines. Suggested donations for that event include canned meats, pasta sauce, peanut butter, soup, cereal, personal care products, and monetary donations.
