Today, Governor Reynolds met with President Trump to discuss his trade war’s impact on the state of Iowa and, yet again, failed to produce tangible results for worried Iowa farmers and rural communities.

“Rural communities don’t need more empty words from Governor Reynolds and President Trump right now, they need action. Despite her supposedly close relationship with the White House, Governor Reynolds has repeatedly failed to advocate for Iowa interests, and today was just more of the same. It’s time for new leadership that will hold this administration’s feet to the fire and bring home solutions,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price.
