Ashley Hinson Loses First Senate Debate in Another Setback for Her Struggling Campaign
DES MOINES – Tonight, Ashley Hinson was exposed on-stage as a corrupt millionaire who has spent her six years in Washington enriching herself and her wealthy donors at the expense of Iowans.
Since coming to Congress, Hinson has increased her net worth by up to 15x, while voting consistently to continue the war in Iran, raise costs on Iowa families, and kick 110,000 Iowans off their healthcare. Time and again, she has hurt Iowans to enrich herself and her billionaire donors.
Despite cosplaying as a working-class mom, the truth is that Hinson is completely out-of-touch with Iowans and lives a life of luxury paid for with taxpayer dollars, campaign contributions, and up to $5 million in insurance stock that she made as much as $1 million from last year alone.
“After tonight, every Iowan knows that Ashley Hinson only represents herself and her wealthy donors, not the Iowans she was elected to serve,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart. “Hinson has repeatedly voted to make life more expensive for Iowans, driving up the price of gas, groceries, healthcare, and housing — all while making herself richer.
