NEW: “Zach Lahn Wants to Ban H-1B Hiring After Benefitting From It” at His Private School in Kansas
DES MOINES – New reporting from American Journal News reveals that Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn “petitioned for” and “hired foreigners with H-1B visas to work at a private school he founded in Kansas.” This comes as he is campaigning to end H-1B visas in Iowa.
Lahn has run ads claiming he would “ban H-1B visa holders from being hired by Iowa government and universities” and said he would give companies that don’t hire visa holders preference for state contracts. But according to American Journal News, Lahn professionally “benefitt[ed]” from H-1B visas and was even “listed as the primary point of contact on the [visa] application,” a blatant self-serving double standard.
Lahn has called his Kansas school “the model for reinventing education” in Iowa, even though it’s millions of dollars in debt, underpays teachers, and turns away students with disabilities.
