Zach Lahn “Exposed By Strava” as “Kansas Bike Rides Fuel Carpetbagging Claims”
DES MOINES – Last night, MS NOW’s Chris Hayes reported that Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn is “facing fresh questions about whether he actually lives in” Iowa after his own fitness account caught him taking “frequent bike rides around his Kansas estate.”
Lahn “mysteriously deleted” his Strava account after the Daily Beast followed it, and “has declined requests to share evidence he’s ever [logged] a workout in the state he wants to govern.” Instead of providing evidence to show he doesn’t live in Kansas, Lahn responded by going on a Twitter rant, arguing with Iowans in his comments, and disparaging pilates in the process.
Hayes: “One of the issues that has dogged Zach Lahn’s ‘Iowa First’ campaign is it’s not entirely clear he actually lives in Iowa.”
Hayes: “A Daily Beast reporter found a Strava account for Zach Lahn, and it showed that whoever is using that account was riding their bike around the suburbs of Wichita, Kansas. And the rides all started and ended at Lahn’s $2 million, 26-acre Kansas estate with a six bedroom home and an indoor pool, nearly 400 miles from the Iowa governor’s mansion.”
Hayes: “As soon as the reporter followed Zach Lahn’s Strava account, the rides in Kansas were mysteriously deleted.”
Hayes: “So far Zach Lahn has declined requests to share evidence he’s ever had a workout in the state he wants to govern.”
