DES MOINES – Iowans returning to work this week experienced one of the most expensive Labor Day weekends on record because of the Ashley Hinson-backed Iran war and chaotic tariffs.
Experts are warning high diesel prices are hurting Iowa farmers’ operations by impacting “the cost of transporting grain [and] transporting livestock,” which in turn is making the food Iowans buy at the grocery store more expensive.
Key context: Ashley Hinson has voted to continue the war in Iran six times even as it forces Iowans to pay for more gas at the pump. She has repeatedly voted to drive up the cost of everyday essentials, voting to drive up healthcare costs and support chaotic tariffs that are hurting Iowa farmers and making everything more expensive – all while increasing her wealth by up to ten times since she got to Washington.

It’s going to go down as one of the more expensive summers, but ultimately I still expect millions of Americans to hit the road.”
