DES MOINES – Today, Ashley Hinson voted for a sixth time to continue the war in Iran as the conflict causes gas and diesel prices to soar in Iowa.
In the last week in Iowa, gas increased by 12 cents to an average of nearly $4 per gallon and diesel is up 32 cents, rising to an average of nearly $5 per gallon, with costs likely to continue increasing as the price of oil skyrockets to $100 per barrel.
“Ashley Hinson’s support for the Iran war continues to drive up costs and hurt Iowa families,” said Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Drew Myers. “Iowans will not forgive Hinson for doubling down on an unpopular war that is forcing families to spend hundreds more on gas and groceries.”
