Hinson-Backed Iran War Causes Inflation to Hit Highest Level in Three Years
Ashley Hinson: “[The Iran War is] a Political Liability for Us”
Politico: “The War in Iran Has Become a Particular Concern for Iowans as Prices for Fertilizer and Diesel fuel […] Have Soared”
DES MOINES – Today, a new report found that inflation has risen for a third straight month – hitting the highest level in three years – as the Hinson-backed Iran War “measurably pushed prices higher for American consumers.”
Hinson has voted over and over again in support of the war – even while admitting that it is a “political liability” for her Senate campaign. In Iowa, gas prices are up $1 per gallon, diesel is up nearly $2 per gallon, and fertilizer costs have spiked 33%–55% — pushing Iowa farmers into their “toughest times since the 1980s crisis.”
“Ashley Hinson knows that her blind support for the Iran War is hammering Iowans – she admitted it herself – and she voted to continue it anyway,” said Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Drew Myers. “Now, as the Hinson-backed war causes inflation to reach its highest level in three years, Iowans are paying more at the pump, more at the grocery store, and more to plant their fields.”
