Operations Associate

Position Summary: The Iowa Democratic Party is seeking an Operations Associate for the 2026
Coordinated Campaign. This role will report directly to the Deputy Operations Director and will be
responsible for supporting the Operations Department on the execution of all campaign logistics. The
Associate will assist with field office needs, and equipment/supply procurement, and material distribution
to ensure our statewide staff has the resources needed to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.


Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
● Coordinate with members of the organizing team on potential office openings and supply
acquisitions
● Maintain records and track of implementation of various processes across Iowa
● Support in-person events with logistics, coordination, and staffing
● Support the Operations department by maintaining accurate expense reports for campaign
verticals and projecting necessary supply budget spend week by week
● Drive to our various statewide offices in order to support the campaign’s needs
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
● Good personal organization, including ability to meet deadlines and multitask
● Experience with navigating and creating spreadsheets
● Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
● Familiarity with political campaigns, including internships and volunteer work
● Ability to execute on the small details that make big projects successful
● Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding expenses and
budgets


This position is full-time and lasts through November 2026. Applicants must have a reliable laptop, cell
phone, and vehicle. Applicants must also be comfortable working irregular hours including nights and
weekends.
Compensation:
Salary: $4725/month with competitive benefits.
