NEW VIDEO: One Year of Randy Feenstra Failing Iowans

DES MOINES – Today, on the one year anniversary of Randy Feenstra launching an exploratory committee for governor, the Iowa Democratic Party released a new digital video highlighting a year of Feenstra’s failures.

Over the last year, Feenstra has voted to gut Medicaid and put rural hospitals on the chopping block, voted to protect costly tariffs hurting Iowa farmers, and voted to continue the war in Iran that’s sent gas prices in Iowa skyrocketing — all while failing to pass year-round E15 or committing to a single Republican primary debate.

WATCH HERE:

With 20 days until the June primary, Feenstra has faced major “dissatisfaction” and “opposition” from his own party after he was “unable to clear the primary field,” failed to get Donald Trump’s endorsement, and was snubbed by Bob Vander Plaats. Feenstra’s “difficulty connecting” with voters has become a “persistent theme” of the wide-open race, while his fellow candidates and members of his own party have also spent months attacking his no-show campaign. It’s caused GOP activists to plan for the primary to go to a nominating convention.

From Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Terra Hernandez:

“Randy Feenstra has spent 365 days running for governor and has nothing to show for it — zero debates, no unity with his base, and a primary field in complete chaos. With just 20 days until Election Day, Feenstra is still hiding from Iowans because his disastrous D.C. record speaks for itself: voting for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history, threatening rural hospitals, and supporting tariffs that are hurting farmers. Over the last year, Randy Feenstra has demonstrated exactly why he’s unfit to lead the state of Iowa.”
