Where’s No-Show Randy Feenstra? Not on Iowa Press.

DES MOINES – Between skipping multi-candidate events and refusing to debate his primary opponents, you would think that Randy Feenstra has enough time on his hands to appear on Iowa Press, the must-do public affairs show for any serious candidate in Iowa. But in the 11 months since launching his campaign, no-show Feenstra remains the only Republican or Democratic gubernatorial candidate yet to go on the program.

Moderator O. Kay Henderson noted during last week’s episode featuring candidate for governor Zach Lahn that they “invited all Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidates in 2026 to join us here at the Iowa Press table. Most were here this past fall.” The glaring omission? Randy Feenstra.

Feenstra isn’t just hiding from voters and blocking attendees from recording his campaign events — he’s blatantly refusing to answer tough questions about the issues that matter most to Iowans.

From Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Terra Hernandez:

“No-show Randy Feenstra is hiding from reporters and Iowans because he can’t defend his disastrous record, like voting for the largest cut to Medicaid in history and supporting the reckless tariffs jacking up costs and hurting Iowa farmers. Iowans deserve a governor who will show up and answer their questions, and Feenstra repeatedly dodging public events proves he’s totally unfit to lead.”
