Group Pushing National Abortion Ban Endorses Ashley Hinson

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Endorsed Hinson in Her U.S. Senate Campaign

DES MOINES – Today, the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) Pro-Life America Candidate Fund, a radical anti-choice group that supports a national abortion without exceptions for rape and incest, endorsed Ashley Hinson.

“Ashley Hinson fully embraces a radical anti-choice agenda at the expense of Iowans’ reproductive freedom,” said Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Drew Myers. “Iowans don’t want the government coming between them and their personal health care decisions. If it were up to Hinson, the federal government would prevent every woman in the country from accessing essential and lifesaving reproductive health care.”

SBA Pro-Life America has pledged to exclusively endorse Senate candidates who embrace a national abortion ban. Hinson has proudly touted her A+ scorecard from SBA in the years she’s been in Congress for supporting extreme, restrictive anti-choice laws in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Hinson’s Radical Anti-Choice Record:

• Hinson voted to ban abortion in Iowa around six weeks.

• Hinson co-sponsored the Life At Conception Act, a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother at every opportunity.

• Hinson voted to pass the GOP budget law, which forced Planned Parenthood to announce plans to close four of its health care clinics in Iowa.

• Hinson’s Senate campaign has ties to anti-choice leaders who have distributed pamphlets calling women’s liberation is a “scheme of the devil,” shared content defending the murder of abortion providers, and claimed that “women who need an abortion should have been on a sex strike before they got pregnant.”
