Zach Nunn: “American farmers don’t want to be in a situation where they get a handout from the taxpayer.”

DES MOINES – While defending his support of Trump’s trade war back in April, Zach Nunn said: “American farmers don’t want to be in a situation where they get a handout from the taxpayer.” 

Now, Iowa farmers are getting a $12 billion bailout taken straight from Iowa taxpayers who are already dealing with high prices because of Trump’s tariffs. 

“Trump’s tariffs have been causing uncertainty and anxiety for Iowa farmers since day one,” said IDP Chair Rita Hart. “Zach Nunn knew this, but instead of sticking up for farmers, he was busy sucking up to Donald Trump. Like always. Now our farmers are in the exact situation Zach Nunn didn’t want them to be in – being bailed out by taxpayers.”
