REMINDER: Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn Already Voted Against Releasing Epstein Files
DES MOINES – Ahead of a vote on the Epstein files’ release this week, here’s your reminder that Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn already voted to block a vote on releasing the files and have done NOTHING to push for transparency – instead putting their party bosses and the rich and powerful first.
- Miller-Meeks and Nunn voted NO to prevent a vote forcing the Epstein files’ release and fell in line with their party bosses to BLOCK an attempt to release the Epstein files.
- Neither Miller-Meeks and Nunn did anything to force this vote into taking place. Both Miller-Meeks and Nunn stood by and refused to sign the discharge petition – the only reason why this vote is taking place.
- Miller-Meeks even skipped out on a vote for an amendment to release files related to Epstein’s relationship with criminal Larry Nassar during an Energy and Commerce committee hearing.
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn already voted NO to block efforts to release the Epstein files and so it’s clear where they stand: with DC party bosses and powerful interests, not Iowans and certainly not victims,” said IDP Chair Rita Hart. “Miller-Meeks and Nunn have stood in the way of transparency and accountability. We need change, not the corruption and insider politics coming out of Washington.”
