Iowa Democratic Party Statement on Rep. Ashley Hinson Voting to Make Health Care More Expensive for Nearly 120,000 Iowans
Des Moines — Following Rep. Ashley Hinson’s vote for a bill that does not extend ACA premiums, making health care more expensive for nearly 120,000 Iowans, Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party Rita Hart released the following statement:
“It wasn’t enough for Ashley Hinson to vote for Medicaid cuts that will strip health care away and threaten rural hospitals — now, she’s letting nearly 120,000 Iowans see their premiums increase by double digits. She doesn’t deserve to represent the interests of Iowans in D.C., and she certainly doesn’t deserve a promotion to the Senate.”
