DES MOINES – Following reports of chaos across the country due to the federal grants freeze initiated Monday night, Rita Hart issued the following statement:

“Veterans, farmers, children, and senior citizens could all lose vital services due to incompetence in Washington. Widespread confusion is only making a bad situation worse. Iowans deserve to know now what our representatives in DC are doing to provide clarity and get essential funding released right now.”
