Today, Senator Cory Booker will join the Campaign for Iowa to fire up Iowans for the first day of Early Voting. As part of the “All Hands on Deck” event series, the Senator will be getting out the vote in Dallas County with Secretary of Agriculture Candidate Tim Gannon.
“The 2018 election is the most important of my lifetime — this is an urgent moment for our country, and we can’t afford for anyone to sit on the sidelines. The Hawkeye state needs to elect Democrats up and down the ticket to help us move this country forward. The most powerful tool we have as citizens is voting, and I want to make sure every Iowan and every American has their voice heard at the ballot box this fall,” said Senator Cory Booker.
“Iowa did not sign up for low commodity prices and bad trade and biofuels policy. This Administration and their Republican allies are a threat to our way of life in farm towns and rural communities across the state. If we’re going to turn this thing around, we have to send a message to Washington D.C. by electing Democrats up and down the ticket this November,” said Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Candidate Tim Gannon.
“All Hands on Deck” is a series of events organized by the Campaign for Iowa to provide our grassroots supporters the opportunity to connect with Democratic leaders focused on getting out the vote for Democrats in 2018 by doing the hard work of our Democracy: making calls, knocking doors, and organizing in our communities.
Members of the press who are interested in attending events with Senator Booker should RSVP to Tess Seger at tseger@iowademocrats.org or (503) 473 – 7642.
