KCRG: “Zach Lahn Defends Previous Statements on Banning mRNA Vaccines,” Including Lifesaving Cancer Treatments
DES MOINES – New reporting from KCRG highlights how Zach Lahn is “denying his past statements on mRNA vaccines … despite recent studies finding mRNA vaccines help prevent the spread and return of melanoma, a type of skin cancer.”
KCRG resurfaced a video of Lahn saying “absolutely, absolutely, I would” ban “any mRNA vaccine in Iowa” during a primary debate in January. Lahn doubled down on his pledge to ban lifesaving mRNA cancer treatments in an interview with the station, saying “I’ve been very clear about believing we need to pull [them] from the market.”

From Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Terra Hernandez:
“Zach Lahn wants to ban lifesaving cancer treatments in the state with the fastest growing cancer rate in the country. Iowans need real solutions to our cancer crisis, not Lahn’s reckless political agenda — that’s why they’ll send him back to Kansas in November.”
