IDP Statement on Zach Lahn Losing the Final Gubernatorial Debate
CEDAR RAPIDS – IDP Chair Rita Hart released the following statement in response to Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn’s loss in tonight’s KCRG debate:
“Iowans saw a clear contrast on the debate stage tonight: Rob Sand wants to move Iowa forward, while Zach Lahn would be a part-time governor who keeps Iowa going down the wrong path. Lahn made it clear that he will continue Kim Reynolds’ billion-dollar budget deficit and privatized Medicaid disaster, gut public school funding, and ban lifesaving cancer treatments — all while jacking up the sales tax on hardworking Iowans. Lahn lost this debate and he will lose in November because Iowans are ready for change.”
