CEDAR RAPIDS – During the last gubernatorial debate, Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn floated a plan to jack up the sales tax on hardworking Iowans and defended his running mate, an accused fraudster who is under criminal investigation. Tonight, Iowans will watch as Lahn tries and fails to spin his disastrous record of working for special interests and his plans to continue the worst of Kim Reynolds’ agenda.

- If your running mate owes his own parents a quarter of a million dollars in farm rent, why should Iowa taxpayers trust your ticket with their money?
- Why is your running mate being criminally investigated, and why did you lie and claim he wasn’t?
- Will you sell your home in Kansas if you are elected?
- Why did you repeatedly propose a sales tax hike on Iowans getting crushed by rising costs?
- Why did you lie about self-funding your campaign when national Republicans have given you over $15 million — the largest political donation in Iowa history — while taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from Big Ag CEOs?
- How many days of your term do you plan to spend in Kansas while collecting a taxpayer-funded salary as governor of Iowa?
- How much would your travels back and forth from Kansas cost Iowa taxpayers?
