NEW: Zach Lahn Caught Hiding Frequent Flights to Kansas While Skipping Events in Iowa

DES MOINES – A new investigative report from MeidasTouch News reveals that carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn “continues to fly to Kansas while hiding the whereabouts of his plane using an FAA temporary flight ID” — all while skipping bipartisan campaign events in Iowa.

After facing criticism for spending more time in Kansas than Iowa, Lahn appeared to ground his private plane that “he used to shuttle himself between the two states” after becoming the gubernatorial nominee in June. But according to MeidasTouch, Lahn actually enrolled in a secret FAA program that hides his plane from public flight trackers and “apparently felt concerned enough about the optics to [keep] his air travel a secret.”

During this time, Lahn missed campaign events in Iowa while flying to Kansas, despite claiming he would “be able to fulfill every duty we need to on the campaign or as governor.” According to MeidasTouch, “his plane was in the air during the non-partisan AMOS Conference” in August, but Lahn’s campaign blamed his absence on a “scheduling conflict.”

From Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Terra Hernandez:

“Zach Lahn knows that spending more time in Kansas than Iowa is completely disqualifying — it’s why he’s lying about his schedule and hiding from Iowans. Iowans want a full-time governor who they can count on if disaster strikes, not a part-time governor who’s too busy flying private to show up for Iowa.”
