Ashley Hinson Goes Down in Final Senate Debate as Iowans Begin Casting Their Ballots
In This Week’s Edition of the Ashley Accountability Alert, Hinson Once Again Failed on the Debate Stage and Got Brutally Fact-Checked for Blocking the Release of the Epstein Files as Iowans Called Her “Out of Touch”
DES MOINES – This week, Ashley Hinson once again failed on the debate stage to distract Iowans from her corrupt, self-dealing record that has come at the expense of Iowans whose healthcare she is cutting and costs she is raising.
In fact, in a recent Iowa focus group of Trump 2024, voters saw straight through her efforts to fool voters, calling Hinson a “yes woman” who is “changing her stance while she’s behind in the polls” making it “hard to know really where she stands.”
Meanwhile, Hinson was fact-checked with a community note for trying to hide her record of covering up the Epstein files after she released a desperate new ad trying to rewrite her record.
But it got much, much worse for Ashley Hinson with less than 3 weeks to go until Election Day…
- First, Ashley Hinson doubled down on her support for the Iran war during the final Senate debate, “defend[ing]” her seven votes to continue the war even as it devastates Iowa with “record diesel prices,” “surg[ing]” gas costs, fertilizer prices “near peak levels,” and inflation higher than the national average.
- Despite claiming she wants an immediate end to the war, she “balked” when asked if she “would again vote against a war powers resolution.”
- Then, she made an “acknowledgement” that her five votes to keep in place chaotic tariffs are causing “economic fallout” in Iowa by hiking fuel and input costs and destroying crop markets for farmers.
- And finally, she dodged three questions in a row about the up to $5 million in insurance stock she still holds as she tries (and fails) to hide the truth from Iowans.
- Next, after releasing a desperate new ad trying to rewrite her record of repeatedly trying to block the release of the Epstein files, Hinson was hit with a community note correcting the record. The truth: Hinson voted against an attempt to trigger a vote to release the Epstein files and blocked the release of the files for months.
- What’s more, Iowans are souring on Hinson, calling her “out of touch” as their costs soar, according to a new report from MS Now of an Iowa focus group featuring Trump 2024 voters.
- Despite Hinson’s desperate (and failing) effort to distract Iowans from her seven votes to continue the war in Iran and five votes to keep in place the chaotic tariffs that are driving up costs, Iowans are seeing through it. They’re saying she’s a “yes woman” who is “changing her stance while she’s behind in the polls” making it “hard to know really where she stands” because she will do and say anything to get money and power, even if it means hurting Iowans.
- Meanwhile, they’re alarmed that as Hinson has voted to raise their costs, she’s “still a millionaire” who has “got a lot of money and [is] still getting a lot of money.”
- To round out the week, yesterday marked 1,111 days since the 2018 Farm Bill, and since getting to Congress, Ashley Hinson has yet to successfully deliver a new five-year Farm Bill for Iowa farmers who are struggling because of her seven votes to continue the war in Iran and five votes to keep in place the tariffs.
- It comes as Iowa farmers say that “without a Farm Bill, there’s just too much uncertainty for us” and that the “lack of a new five-year Farm Bill is disappointing.”
- Hinson has repeatedly defended chaotic tariffs even as Iowa farmers have warned they’re facing “some of their toughest times since the 1980s crisis” as their markets get crushed and input costs skyrocket.

MeidasTouch News: Community note smacks down Ashley Hinson’s Epstein Files claim
- Ashley Hinson is facing renewed scrutiny over her record on the Jeffrey Epstein files after the Iowa Republican Senate candidate posted a campaign video declaring that she voted to release the files and has worked across party lines to protect survivors of sexual abuse.
- However, a community note attached to her post pointed readers to reporting that Hinson previously fought efforts to force the release of the files. Hinson ultimately voted for the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which passed the House 427-1 in November 2025, but she did not sign Rep. Thomas Massie’s original discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the files.
- Hinson, according to The Gazette, said Massie went about the release “the wrong way.” Hinson declared, “I do trust President Trump here and Pam Bondi to do the right thing.” Her eventual support for the legislation does not erase her earlier opposition to efforts to compel disclosure.
Raw Story: ‘Desperation’: GOP candidate swamped by fact checks of ‘unbelievably dishonest’ claim
- Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) drew a flood of fact-checks after claiming she “voted to release the Epstein files,” a line critics called dishonest.
- While she eventually voted for the Epstein Files Transparency Act, she did so only after refusing to sign the petition that forced a vote on it, The Gazette reported in August.
- Iowa Senate candidate Ashley Hinson was slapped with a Community Note after she released an ad that claimed she voted for the release of the Epstein files.
- Not so fast, the Community Note on X warned. “Rep. Hinson voted for the Epstein Files Transparency Act (H.R. 4405) in Nov. 2025 after a discharge petition passed without her signature. She voted for prior procedural motions blocking standalone votes and did not sign key discharge petitions,”‘ the note reads.
