IDP Statement on Zach Lahn Losing Tonight’s Debate
DAVENPORT – IDP Chair Rita Hart released the following statement in response to Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn proving why he is the wrong choice to be Iowa’s next governor:
“Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn’s performance tonight just proved why he’s too extreme and out-of-touch to be Iowa’s next governor. Lahn spent half of the debate doing damage control about his living situation in Kansas and once again failed to answer for how he can be a full-time governor when he doesn’t even live in Iowa. When he wasn’t lying about living in Kansas and talking over the moderators, Lahn found time to double down on his plans to continue the worst of Kim Reynolds’ failed agenda. A decade of one-party rule has left Iowans struggling with underfunded public schools, farm bankruptcies, and record cancer growth rates. We are long overdue for change, but Lahn is only offering more of the same.”
