Extreme Anti-Abortion Group Endorses Zach Lahn for Governor
DES MOINES – Today, Kansas carpetbagger and career political operative Zach Lahn proudly accepted the endorsement of SBA Pro-Life America, one of the most extreme groups in the country that wants to ban abortion from conception — reminding Iowans that he’s running to rip away reproductive freedoms.
In their endorsement, the group praised Lahn and said he will “pick up the torch from pro-life hero Gov. Kim Reynolds,” who signed one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country that rips away care before most women even know they’re pregnant.
Zach Lahn’s extreme record on reproductive freedom is dangerous for Iowa:
- Lahn wants to go even further than Reynolds on ripping away reproductive freedoms, saying “we could do more to protect life.”
- Lahn supports an abortion ban from conception without exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, which would put access to birth control and IVF in jeopardy.
- Lahn bragged about being “banned for life” from a fertility clinic and said his opposition to abortion extends to IVF and other fertility treatments.
- Lahn opposed allowing Iowans to obtain medication abortion by mail.
- Lahn attended the Iowa March for Life, campaigning with a group that wants to ban abortion outright and believes that “IVF violates human dignity.”
- Lahn spent years as a career political operative working to elect extreme anti-abortion lawmakers.

Lahn wants to take Kim Reynolds’ abortion ban even further, meaning less access to care, more closed facilities, and more health care workers fleeing our state. Iowa women and families can’t trust him as governor.”
