WATCH: Randy Feenstra Refuses to Answer for Spending Taxpayer Dollars on His Own Campaign

DES MOINES – At a campaign event last night, Randy Feenstra was asked about spending $33,000 in taxpayer dollars on radio ads to promote his gubernatorial campaign, and shamelessly refused to give a straight answer about his shady and unethical behavior.

Watch the exchange for yourself:

Iowa taxpayer: “I keep hearing your ads … it turns in, from a campaign, to maybe a customer service ad, and then it says paid for by funds appropriated by the Iowa House. And that’s when my head explodes, because we just did DOGE. And why are you using [House] funds to advertise?”

Randy Feenstra: “So, great question …”

Iowa taxpayer: “The question is, the whole ad sounds like a campaign ad, and it’s got a little tagline that, hey, call my office to help, and then it’s paid for by tax dollars. And I’m going, you’ve got how many million? Use your millions, but don’t use my tax dollars to come and tell me what you’re doing.”

Randy Feenstra: “Sounds good. Thank you.”

From Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Terra Hernandez:

“Randy Feenstra can’t even give a straight answer for why he’s spending Iowa taxpayers’ money on his campaign. It just goes to show why he is nowhere ready to lead Iowa. The only thing Feenstra is taking to ‘new heights’ is his shady and unethical behavior — and Iowa taxpayers are the ones footing the bill.”
