LIFELINE: Governor Reynolds Calls in Ivanka Trump to Prop Up Flailing Campaign

Governor Kim Reynolds knows her campaign is in a tailspin and called in reinforcements to prop up her campaign just four days out from election day. Ivanka Trump is coming to town on Friday to bail out Reynolds and try to make up for the campaign’s lack of vision or record to run on.

The trip will be Ivanka Trump’s third visit to Iowa for Governor Reynolds, continuing the parade of Trump Administration officials flying out to prop up Iowa Republicans. Reynolds has welcomed the President twice, the Vice President three times, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders once.

This, despite the fact that the Trump Administration has decimated rural Iowa with refinery waivers and irresponsible Trade Wars while they actively pursue court cases that would strip protections for Iowans with pre-existing conditions.

Meanwhile, even Republicans are noticing Reynolds’ flailing campaign might be in trouble. Last week, in an interview with The Blaze, conservative politician and political activist Bob Vander Plaats said, “I am surprised at how many Trump signs I’m seeing in these yards…we did that same bike ride this year and I said there are too many Fred Hubbell signs…and those signs sent me a message.”

“What we’re seeing from Governor Reynolds is more of the same,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price. “She has no record or vision to run on, so she embraces a divisive Administration that is actively hurting Iowans through their policies right now. It’s unfortunate, but unfortunately not surprising for this Governor.”

While Governor Reynolds continues to embrace the Trump Administration, Iowa voters can opt for people first, values driven leadership in Fred Hubbell next week.
