With oral arguments underway in the Supreme Court cases AFSCME Council 61, et al v. State of Iowa and the Iowa State Education Association and Davenport Education Association, et al v. State of Iowa, addressing Iowa Republicans’ unprecedented attack on the rights of working Iowans, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:
“Today and every day, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in labor and the hardworking Iowa families they serve. These senseless attacks on collective bargaining undermines Iowa workers and our ability to create and retain opportunity in this state. We hope that the court will side with the people of Iowa and restore their voices in the workplace.”
