In memory of Congressman Leonard Boswell, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:
“Today, we remember the life and legacy of a wonderful Iowa leader. From serving in our armed forces to serving the people of Iowa, Congressman Leonard Boswell brought unparalleled integrity, grit, and much needed levity to everything he did. He left this world a better place than when he found it. His advocacy for veteran suicide prevention saves lives to this day, and we hope that all Iowa elected officials will take this moment to rededicate themselves to that cause.
Congressman Boswell’s legacy will live on in each and every one of us. Our hearts go out to his wife, Dody, and their children. They will always have a family of support in the Iowa Democratic Party.”
