Today, Iowa Democratic Party spokesperson Mandy McClure released the following statement ahead of Ivanka Trump’s event in Des Moines:
“Nothing Ivanka Trump says today in Iowa changes the reality that her father’s failed COVID response has devastated families across our state. Between leaving states to fend for themselves, to his chaotic trade policies that devastated farmers, to continuously attacking our health care and protections for people with pre-existing conditions, Iowans can’t afford more years of Donald Trump. We will hold him accountable tomorrow when we elect Joe Biden, Theresa Greenfield, and Democrats up and down the ticket.”
