From Maske for Congress
Truro, Iowa, December 10, 2009 — Beginning Wednesday, December 16, Bill Maske, Democratic Candidate for Iowa’s 4th District Congressional seat will tour the district to make a formal announcement of candidacy. This announcement tour involves thirteen stops throughout the 4th District in a span of three days.
Maske, currently the Superintendent of Schools for the Interstate 35 Community School District in Truro, will step down from his duties as superintendent beginning January 25, 2010, to devote his attention and time to the 4th district congressional race.
Maske’s announcement will outline his plan for bringing government to the people that need it the most. Maske enters the congressional race with a devotion to service, saying, “As a professional educator and public servant, I have seen what social injustice can do to families and children. We have drifted far from the vision of a government of, for, and by the people. It is time to uphold the high ideals and sacred values found in the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. We can and must do better!”
