Today, the Bureau of Economic Analysis released the Personal Income Growth numbers for 2017 including the finding that Iowa had the second worst Personal Income Growth in the nation last year. This is yet one more example of why Reynolds’ economic policies have failed Iowa families. Reynolds and Branstad promised to grow incomes for Iowa families by 25%, but their policies only yielded a 0.3% increase last year.

“Governor Reynolds can spin her economic policies all she wants, but at the end of the day, they’re not putting enough money back in the pockets of Iowa’s working families.  She’s broken our budget with massive giveaways to corporations and special interests that have not trickled down to the average Iowan or resulted in the promised economic growth. The Iowans working two, three jobs just to make ends meet deserve leadership that will invest in them, their kids, and their future, and that’s what Democrats are prepared to deliver in November,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price.
