Today, Governor Reynolds announced that for the second time in four weeks, a high-level staffer will be leaving her administration. Reynolds’ Chief of Staff Jake Ketzner will be leaving the administration for a job outside state government.

In May, Tim Albrecht, Reynolds’ Deputy Chief of Staff, left to work with Apple, who received $208 million in taxpayer money to build a new data center in Waukee. Albrecht took the position just months after strongly advocating for that tax giveaway.

These departures are not the only high level staff fleeing Reynolds’ leadership. In February, Reynolds’ campaign manager, Phil Valenziano parted ways with the Governor, spurring a full re-launch of her campaign.

“What on earth is going on at Terrace Hill?” said Iowa Democratic Party Spokesperson Tess Seger. “Reynolds and her revolving door of staff members have Iowa lurching from one crisis to the next and in a state of constant turmoil. With so much at stake from the trade war to the budget crisis, Iowa simply cannot afford Reynolds’ chaos and failed leadership.”
