Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price, Danny Homan from AFSCME to Call Out Bad For Workers, Bad For Iowa Agenda
Monday, as Governor Kim Reynolds and First Daughter Ivanka Trump come to Waukee, local Iowans will gather to speak out against their agenda that puts special interests ahead of Iowa’s workers.
Ivanka Trump’s eponymous clothing line takes advantage of poorly paid Chinese workers and undercuts American manufacturing by producing its goods overseas in factories, some of which are known to abuse their workers. As Governor, Kim Reynolds has prioritized giving tax dollars to companies like Ivanka’s that outsource jobs and has undermined important protections that Iowa’s workers need.
At Monday’s event, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price will speak to the damaging effect the Reynold/Trump Agenda has on Iowa’s businesses and economy, while Danny Homan from AFSCME will speak to how their warped priorities harm Iowa’s workers. Local activists will cap off the program with a call to action.
