In honor of Earth Day, Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price released the following statement:
“For generations, Iowa’s fields of opportunity have provided for the people of our state. Protecting that land is in our blood, which is why we as Democrats are proud to be leading the way on conservation, while always looking to do better.
Caring for our planet isn’t just about maintaining the integrity of our ecosystem and our resources – although those issues are paramount – it’s also about caring for our fellow man: caring about the health of our friends and neighbors, caring about the communities and infrastructure being threatened by climate change, caring that our children will have a safe, abundant planet to inherit.
This Earth Day, we hope that all Iowans will remember that we only have one planet to share, and join us in our efforts to keep our planet safe for generations to come.”
