Election Dates

School Board Elections – September 12, 2017

Municipal Elections – November 7, 2017

Find your polling location.  Make sure you look under “City Elections” as your polling location might differ from where you vote in even-year elections.


Register to Vote

You can register to vote online or download a registration form.  Not sure if you’re registered?  You can double check.

Pre-registration deadlines:

School Board election – September 1,  2017 by 5pm
Municipal election – October 27, 2017 by 5pm

You can also register to vote on election day.  Find out what you’ll need to bring.



Request an Absentee Ballot

You can download an Absentee Ballot Request form, fill it out, and return it to you local county auditor.

If you want to request a ballot for both the school board and municipal elections, you will need to fill out two separate forms (one for each election type).

Check the status of you ballot.

Deadline to request your absentee ballot*:

School Board election – September 8,  2017 by 5pm
Municipal election – November 3, 2017 by 5pm


*Recommended to request your ballot earlier as requesting on this day means very tight turn around for getting and returning your ballot.  You will be able to vote early in person at your auditors office the Saturday and Monday before the election.

If you or a family member need special assistance to vote, you have the right to an accessible voting location, accessible voting equipment and to receive assistance in casting your ballot.
