World Wide Steak Fry
Posted on September 10th, 2009 by Greg Hauenstein
As preparations for the 32nd Harkin Steak Fry wrap up, we’re announcing that for the first time, the Iowa Democratic Party will be streaming portions of the event live on the internet.
IowaDemocrats.org/live will feature a streaming video player that will broadcast the speeches of several speakers at the event. We will start the stream just before 2:30pm CST when the main event is scheduled to begin.
The 32nd annual Harkin Steak Fry will draw Iowa Democrats and statewide media to the Warren County fairgrounds. This year’s event has an added sense of celebration because of Sen. Harkin’s appointment to be Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee this week.
The steak fry is Harkin’s signature annual grassroots event and an important tradition for Iowa Democrats. This will be Sen. Franken’s first appearance in Iowa since being elected to the Senate.
Visit IowaDemocrats.org/live for the live video. With one click, viewers will have the ability to view speeches from the stage as they happen. We will also be live blogging the entire day on our blog so keep an eye on that for interviews with attendees, photos, and other exclusive content.
